Our Trail Projects

During the past 12 months, we have constructed 34km of new trails, and provided funds to help Clubs build and maintain their trails.

Mt Bakewell & Mt Brown (2020-21)

With two mountains and up to 240m in vertical elevation, this could be a premier destination for mountain biking in WA. Fundraising is in progress. 

Perth Hills Loop Trail - Kalamunda to Pickering Brook and return (completion August 2020)

20km cross-country mountain bike trails connecting Kalamunda to Pickering Brook Store.

Dunsborough Mountain Bike Trails (Sept 2020)

WTA is providing $15K plus $15K in equipment hire for trail upgrades and improvements to the Meelup and Dunsborough and Districts Country Club mountain bike trails

Evedon Park (2020-21)

A network of natural-feel mountain bike and walk trails,  situated in the rolling hills of Australia’s South West region, 2 hours from Perth.

Swan Christian College (May 2020)

Mountain bike training facility for Outdoor Education Program.

Lake Leschenaultia, Chidlow (Aug 2019)

Mountain bike trail network of 9 trails totalling 13km, with options for beginners to advnaced riders.

Bolinda Vale, Serpentine (2018)

Western Trails Alliance Volunteers built on private land and by hand, 5 gravity trails and a climb trail, with numerous technical features, for an Enduro event.

Meelup Regional Park, Dunsborough (2017-2019)

Western Trails Alliance assisted with the development and construction of 18km of new and refurbished mountain bike trails

Kalamunda Mountain Bike Trails Network (2010-2018)

Advocacy, plannng, design, construction and maintenance of trails withn the network over several years.
